It’s rude to crush people’s dreams, I guess…

So someone from high school, who I will not reveal, recently started a blog about their “road to working as an animator at Pixar”.

Now I am all for working towards your dream job, but this unnamed person had no art skills back then, and they definitely haven’t improved in the last two years post-high school (from what they’ve posted). There is a time when you need to realize that some dreams aren’t going to happen. Taking online art classes from a for-profit school isn’t going to be enough to get you where you want to be. They seem to be in a better place ~emotionally~ than in high school, so I guess good for them. But like, someone close to them needs to break it gently. Before they waste all their money taking classes through a useless program.
